To obtain an activation code, connect your device to the Internet, make sure that it is connected properly and then locate the FrameChannel service on your device. The first time you start your device you should be presented with a slide that includes an activation code. Note: Some older devices require a username and pin entered on the device rather than an activation code. Your PIN can be viewed and edited by going to My FrameChannel, clicking settings and then clicking the Advanced button.
For image RSS feeds, please make sure the feed is in the Media RSS format. Many photosharing sites support this format but feeds in other formats are not likely to work at this time. For text based RSS feeds, FrameChannel will ignored items older than 48 hours so if there is not new content in the feed you may not see any content right away but FrameChannel will continue to check and when new content is posted on your feed, it will appear in FrameChannel.
Most of your information can be edited by clicking on the My Account link at the top of the page. From there you can change your email address and password. To change information such as your zip code and time zone, please go to My FrameChannel and then click on Settings. Username can only be changed by us. Please send an email with your old username and the new one and we can change it for you.
Check your settings in My Account to make sure you are allowing for emailed photos. Go to My Friends Photos and make sure the sender has been invited. Make sure the email client you are using sends the photo as an attachment (only 1 photo per email and they must be less than 2 MB in size). Some email clients send photos embedded as html, those will be ignored as our email gateway will only look for messages with attachments. Emails get processed as they come in. It typically takes about 15 minutes assuming the email has reached our email servers. However, at busy times it can take several hours if our servers get backlogged.
FrameChannel will only deliver a certain amount of content to the device at any one time. However, the device will continue to update on an interval so if your channel is set to random you will eventually see all of your photos. You can change the number of photos as a percentage of your entire feed by sliding the priority bar to the right in Settings.
For devices that support On Demand, please click on the On Demand button and then the weather link and make sure your weather in On Demand is set-up as well as your weather in My FrameChannel. If you don't see the city listed, please send us an email and we will add it to the list.
